Three weeks into retirement

Everyone keeps asking with a serious curiosity -- "So how is it? Is it as good as you hoped it would be?"

The answer is a resounding: "It's better!"

Getting up in the morning when I'm good and ready. Writing when the mood strikes instead of only when time allows. Having a leisurely lunch with friends.

Cooking real food for The Hubster and having a meal together that isn't thrown together at 9 p.m.

I have to say this is definitely the best three weeks I've spent in many a year.

On August 11, 2015 I had a good time meeting with the Goose Creek Rotary Club. I did a presentation on the books and the writing process for both fiction and non-fiction and how they differ. A fun lunch at Gilligan's with many old friends. I was a member of that club back in the mid-1990s and was delighted so many of the members I knew then were still there!
